I’m receiving an award and entitled to two free tickets. I don’t see a free ticket option to register on Eventbrite. Why not?
If you are receiving an award then you must email our Event Coordinator at events@ascenewjerseysection.org to RSVP and register. Please email your name and your guest’s name (if bringing a guest). Our Event Coordinator will then register you manually and send you a confirmation. If you do not email our Event Coordinator then you will not be registered to attend the dinner.
But I received a phone call or email from a Section Board member asking if I was going to attend and I said yes. Doesn’t that count as my RSVP?
No. In order to accurately track who is claiming their complimentary tickets, we ask that you email our Event Coordinator at events@ascenewjerseysection.org with your name and your guest’s name (if bringing a guest). Our Event Coordinator will then register you manually. If you do not email our Event Coordinator then you will not be registered to attend the dinner.
What if I’m receiving an award and my company/agency wants to buy a table? I don’t see an option to use my two free tickets and then purchase the remaining seats to fill a table of eight.
First, thank you for wanting to purchase a table! Second, please ask your company or agency to first verify that you have claimed your complimentary tickets by emailing our Event Coordinator at events@ascenewjerseysection.org. When that has been verified, your company/agency must use the “Individual” ticket type to purchase the remaining seats. This is actually cheaper than buying an entire table of eight. Finally, please ask your company to email us to let us know that all eight of you will be sitting together.
My company wants to purchase a table but doesn’t know who will be attending just yet. Can we reserve the table and give you the required information later?
We kindly ask that your company not reserve a table until all attendees can be registered. We are expecting the event to reach capacity and we want to make sure that those who want to attend, can attend.
Are any of the dinner entrees free of common food allergens?
No.
I want to register but I don’t see an option to pay by cash or check, only credit card or PayPal. Why can’t I pay by cash or check?
As in past years, we encourage all attendees to pay by credit card or PayPal. There are several reasons:
We are trying to minimize our exposure to fraud (sad, but true). We must guarantee the number of attendees with the venue one week before the event, and when an attendee registers but doesn’t show up and doesn’t pay, we take a loss. We also take a loss if a check bounces. We are a small organization and every registration counts for us.
We will not have the resources to collect or process payments nor have the capability to make change on the day of the event.
We want to make it easy. We understand that you have bigger things to worry about than remembering to send payment before an event or bring payment to an event. Why waste a stamp? Don’t you want the rewards/points/miles you get for paying with your credit card anyway? Paying through Eventbrite makes it hassle-free for you and for us.
PUBLIC AGENCIES ONLY (NJDOT, NJTA, DRJTBC, PANYNJ, etc.): We realize that internal policies may restrict the use of credit cards when registering for this event. Please email our Event Coordinator at events@ascenewjerseysection.org to make alternative payment arrangements if necessary.
I’m not sure if I can attend until the day of the dinner. Will there be on-site registration?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to collect or process payments nor make change the day of the event. Therefore, there will be no on-site registration. Please register before Thursday, May 2, 2024.
Will this event be held indoors or outdoors?
This event will be held indoors.
